Scholarship Awards

The Greater Barrington Chamber of Commerce sponsors the annual college scholarship program which is fully funded by the annual Peeper 5K Run/Walk held in May.

Scholarship applications are available to all Barrington high school seniors and children of Chamber members who plan to further their education. Two $1000 scholarships are awarded annually to graduating high school seniors and a $500 scholarship is awarded to any previous recipient who is still in college and in good standing.

Applications are reviewed by the Chamber’s Scholarship Committee.  Grade point average, extracurricular school activities and community service, as well as the student’s future plans for continuing education and community service are considered for eligibility.

Golf Tournament

This annual event currently funds the operating expenses of the Greater Barrington Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored by Nippo Lake Golf Club under the direction of Tina Maiorino, tournament chairman.

September to Remember Community Expo

This family friendly event brings the community and businesses together to enjoy some great entertainment, bid on many silent auction items, visit well over 80 exhibitors and a chance to win a great raffle prize.  This is surely to be a fun afternoon for all.
