Scholarship Awards

The Barrington Chamber of Commerce sponsors the annual college scholarship program which is fully funded by the annual B1st Peeper 5k Run/Walk held in May.

Scholarship applications are made available to all Barrington high school seniors who plan to further their education. Two $1000 scholarships are awarded annually and a second scholarship of $500 is offered to any previous recipient who is still in college in good standing. The $1000 scholarships are awarded at the June monthly meeting.

Applications are reviewed by the chamber’s scholarship committee which considers Grade Point Average, extracurricular school activities and community service, as well as the student’s future plans for continuing education and community service.
