Congratulations Meghan Noone, NHFCU Employee of the Month, December 2022

Meghan Noone joined NHFCU in 2017 as a part-time teller, bringing 20 years of experience from other financial institutions. Staff and members quickly learned of Meghan’s natural ability to guide, teach, inform, and listen. Her way of making people feel comfortable about their personal finances without judgement is the key to her success. Members know they are not alone on their journey to financial wellness with Meghan’s guidance. Her exuberance and skills to help and connect with people led to her promotion in 2018 to full-time Senior Financial Wellness Coach.

Meghan’s passion is providing a great experience to NHFCU members. She recently received an incredibly glowing letter from a member detailing the level of service she delivers. She also contributed her talents beyond her ongoing responsibilities. Throughout the last half of 2022, Meghan offered support and training to the NHFCU front line while overseeing the Centers for Finance & Education. This included financial education consults and meetings with schools, individuals and community partners. Added to that, when the credit union ran into unplanned staffing shortages, Meghan reprioritized her own schedule to accommodate and assist others.

“Anything else I can do for you today?” Meghan enthusiastically asks this at the end of every meeting and phone call, whether it be with coworkers or members. She always goes the extra mile to ensure she’s covered everything and more.

In April of 2022, Meghan took on her new role as Business Development & Financial Wellness Leader. She oversees the NHFCU Centers for Finance & Education and its employees. She is also responsible for business development initiatives, enhancing relationships with existing membership groups and cultivating new relationships within the communities the credit union serves.

Meghan demonstrates what it takes to be a leader and a team player for NHFCU every day. Congratulations, Meghan!

(Concord, NH) – Lisa Gilbert joined New Hampshire Federal Credit Union in 1987 as a part-time Computer Operator and later that year became a full-time Computer Operator. Her attention to detail and knowledge of technology led to her promotion as Department Manager in 1995. As technology advanced, so did Lisa’s skills. In 2000, she became Information Systems Manager. She then moved into the role of Information Systems Administrator.

Lisa’s skillset broadened and in 2017, she became Operations Manager. In this role, Lisa handles concerns members may have with debit cards, online banking, and much more. Over the years, Lisa has seen many changes. She states: “I have witnessed the Credit Union’s growth from one to three offices, with the opening of the North Main Street and Lee locations, and then the creation of the Centers for Finance & Education.”

With the introduction of email, the internet, and upgrading to electronic services, Lisa learned to better serve members using the new technologies. She has also watched NHFCU’s assets grow to $330 million.

Through the transitions, Lisa’s top priorities remain the same – to show empathy and professionalism, and an eagerness to provide options and solutions for members.

Rochester, NH – Cornerstone VNA, a local nonprofit home health and hospice care provider, recently received a generous donation of $484 from the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) students at the Richard W. Creteau Regional Technology Center at Spaulding High School in Rochester, NH. This donation is a result of a special bake sale that the students organized to support the Kiddie Cornerstone Fund at Cornerstone VNA.

The Kiddie Cornerstone Fund was established in 2016 to provide gifts for the organization’s pediatric patients to bring smiles to their youngest patients and to promote hope and healing at home. In addition to gifts, such as books, coloring books, and small toys, funds are also used to purchase gas cards to assist with transportation to medical appointments for families in need.

“Childhood illnesses are scary for young patients and their families, and the financial burden can be so overwhelming,” shares Erika Lee, Director of Advancement. “Thanks to donations to our Kiddie Cornerstone Fund, we can provide an extra layer of support in the form of toys and books, special equipment, gas cards, and even gifts over the holidays. We are very grateful to the students for their efforts to support our young patients.”

HOSA Co-President, Mia Baillargeon shares, “We are fortunate enough to have a great group of ladies [students] this year that are passionate about serving the community and reaching out to those who may need it most.  Of course we could have raised money for ourselves, but this was something more honorable, that makes an impact on others.” HOSA Advisor, Lisa Kumph adds, “Our HOSA group was very excited to be able to support the children in our community. The students and staff at Spaulding High School and the Creteau Tech Center demonstrated their generosity through support of the bake sale.”

For more information or to make a donation to the Kiddie Cornerstone Fund, visit cornerstonevna.org/kiddie-cornerstone-fund or call Erika Lee at 603-332-1133 x1203.
