Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Reports To: GBCC Board / Executive Secretary (Heather)
Compensation: $20.00 per hour .
Expected Hours: 20 per week averaging over the entire year. Limited hours during Summer, extended hours during event seasons (peeper, golf, annual dinner, holiday craft fair)
Location: Barrington, NH (Hybrid / Office)
Position Overview
The Greater Barrington Chamber of Commerce is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Part-Time Operations Coordinator. This role serves as the operational backbone of the Chamber, handling day-to-day administration, financial intake, member database management, and event logistics support.
Key Responsibilities
Core Administration & Operations (25%)

Financial Logistics:

Receive cash/checks, log deposits, make physical bank deposits, and send organized financial documentation to the bookkeeper.

Include reconciliation in Wild Apricot and First Seacoast Bank.

Answer question from bookkeeper. Upload financial documents and required invoices into Dropbox.

Coordinate with board to ensure all sponsorship pledges are invoiced

Member & Public Inquiries: Manage the main GBCC inbox, answer phone calls, and triage questions from current/prospective members. Coordinate BAH (business after hours), ribbon cuttings, publish newsletters

General Support: Assist Board Officers with administrative tasks and meeting preparation.
Event Coordination & Execution (50%)

Provide logistics and administrative support for the Chamber's signature events (Peeper 5K, Annual Golf Tournament, Craft Fair, Annual Dinner).

Manage online registrations, attendee lists, name tags, and vendor communication.

On-site support during major event execution days.

Update event SOP’s to ensure continuity in years to come
Member Onboarding & Communications (15% - Secondary)
Other

Maintain office cleanliness with sublease

Maintain office storage and supplies

Any duties as otherwise assigned

Promote chamber to members and non-members alike

Assist in membership and sponsorship drives
Qualifications & Skills
-
2+ years of experience in administrative, office coordination, or customer service roles.

Familiarity with CRMs, basic bookkeeping intake, Google Workspace, and Microsoft

Strong written communication and professional phone etiquette.

Ability to work independently with flexible hours
